Halloween has always been just an excuse to hang out with friends late on school nights and get candy. To me it is like it is written in the prompt, "an excuse for girls to dress suggestively and for guys to act creepily." Although most of the time it ends up being fun, I do not see much logically sense to how we go about doing it.
I spent my halloween attending a quiet `bumpin` party. I ate food and dressed up as a roller disco man. It was pretty darn fun, but of little value.
Halloween is fun and is widely accepted but there is not much value in the origin and how it corresponds with how we practice it today. For instance Christmas and Easter have religious meanings. Americans halloween is just for fun.

Mrs. Micikas

I thought Mrs. Micikas and her story was amazing. I think it takes a lot of courage to get up in front of a group of kids and tell such a great story like hers. She was a good story teller and really captivated my attention throughout the whole class period. I never realized how she was raised and am amazed at how much different her life is compared to mine and an average life. It amazed me at the culture in which she lived in and how much they split themselves off from the world. She gave a great testimony about how she got on good terms with God and I am very grateful that she was able to tell us about it.

The Voysey Inheritance

My opinion on the voysey inheritance was that it was interesting but not entertaining. I thought that the whole scheme was interesting and how Edward reacted was interesting also.I think if I were in the situation I would have tried to get out as soon as I can but, I respect how he at least was noble and generous enough to try to get the money back to the clients but it was just too much. Also I think that it applies to our time and day even tough it was set back in 1905. Like the Bernie Madoff situation.
I thought the class discusion was interesting but kind of off subject. I enjoyed the play and as often as we can we should try and go watch more.

Homecomin'

In my opinion there are good things about homecoming and also bad things. To start with the good things, it's always fun to put on your boogie shoes and loose some calories at the ssame time. It is a very healthy thing to do. Also it creates a lot of opportunities to become better friends with the school community. This year is going to be a little bit more exciting than usual, seeing that Bloggin' Beau and have been preparing to get our groove on. We have been discretly practicing salsa and Thriller dances.
Though I think the dance is extremly fun, I think some of the things that it promotes are wrong. First off the music choices sometimes do not promote the best messages. Also a lot of the time people get caught up in the materialism, like the dresses and suits.
Overall I think homecomin' is a great experience and think that you can have a lot of fun with the right mindset.

Song Analysis

I’d say that my favorite song is “The Bare Necessities” by Baloo ft. Mowgli. I like this song a lot because of the lazy mentality that Baloo presents. He says that we shouldn’t spend our time looking for something that we want and can’t obtain. We need to worry more about the necessities of life and let the rest just come to us. It’s just a simple song that helps us realize that we all need to just relax for a while and forget about our worries in the world.
